Destiny Oribhabor
The Woman...
Destiny was born in Nigeria and raised in Grand Prairie, Texas. Although she grew up on the outskirts of Dallas, she is no stranger to Houston. Her ministry extends beyond the borders of her home town and reaches deep into the hearts of women in Houston and all over the world. Destiny received her Bachelors from the University of Houston and went on to receive her Master’s in Public Health from the University of North Texas. She is a daughter, sister, friend, and ministry leader just to name a few. Destiny finds power and enrichment in the teachings of others found in books, conferences, seminars and workshops; which is why you will see that any platform she promotes is rich with content, and her connection to other women is truly genuine and authentic. A gentle heart, a warm smile and a love for God's daughters, truly sums up the connection you will feel when you meet Destiny.
The Servant...
Destiny is the founder of the ministry Destiny Unveiled, but her role as a servant can be seen through her unending commitment to encourage and support women in and out of ministry. Whether it be through sharing the word of God, or supporting small women's groups, you will find her front and center, and ready to help. Destiny admits that she wasn't the first to jump at an opportunity to step on a stage or grab a microphone. She believes a true servant understands the work that they do is bigger than the individual. So, her ultimate goal is to uplift everyone she serves, and leave no woman behind. The sincerity of her servant's heart can be felt through her blog writing, videos and how intentional she is with sharing resources to help women grow. Destiny's work is consistently enriching women around her, and in the end she is fulfilled because God receives the Glory. As you connect with Destiny you will find this to be true about her life, her story, and her message.
The Purpose...
Destiny openly declares that her life's purpose was revealed through her own challenges and awareness of the common struggles we all face as women. When she finally identified her "veil", God showed her that her purpose was to help others identify theirs. This wasn't an easy journey and as she reflects back on her life, she can honestly say, this is a journey that she is still walking. Through God revealing her purpose, Destiny identified the significance to help other women work through their own brokenness and uncover the veils that they have in their lives. Her message is real, it is powerful, and it is rooted in truth. As she walks in her purpose, she knows that God has called her to reach women in and out of the church, and that is exactly what she plans to do. In terms of her purpose, she has been known to quote, “Out of our deepest pain comes our purpose, and I am living proof." It is her hope that through her God given purpose you will identify your veil, and feel confident to reveal, expose and uncover.
When we asked Destiny what walking in freedom meant to her, she responded...
"I had a misconception that as a believer I needed to chase down freedom, but in Christ I am already free. As believers we are not solely fighting for freedom, we are fighting to remember what is ALREADY our inheritance."
